Manic Street Preachers and Suede will jointly headline the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod in 2024.

The indie bands are set to tour the UK and Ireland together, and have also announced a gig at Cardiff Castle.

They toured the USA together in 2022, and alternated who closed the sold-out shows.

In 2024, the Manics, from Blackwood, Caerphilly, and Suede, from London, will perform seven joint shows.

The Manics last headlined the Llangollen International Eisteddfod in Denbighshire in 2017 - the annual event draws performers from around the world.

They will appear on 28 June 2024.

The group is currently working on its 15th studio album, after their 2021 offering The Ultra Vivid Lament reached number one in the charts.

Suede's ninth studio album Autofiction reached number two in 2022.

Other gigs on the tour in June and July 2024 include Trinity College Dublin, Edinburgh Castle and Millennium Square, Leeds.
