A murder investigation is under way following the death of a man.

North Wales Police was called to a house on Wrexham's Pentre Gwyn estate at 18:15 BST on 23 October.

A 40-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene and two people have been arrested on suspicion of murder and bailed, pending further inquiries.

Police said officers remained at the scene while investigations continue and that the man's family and the coroner had been informed.

Det Ch Insp Mark Hughes said: "This investigation is in the early stages and we are keeping an open mind into the circumstances.

"I would like to reassure the community that we do not believe there is any wider risk to the public."
