Wales falls silent on Remembrance Sunday

Parades, wreath-laying ceremonies and services have been held across Wales for Remembrance Sunday.

A national service was at Cardiff's Welsh National War Memorial, while communities organised their own events closer to home.

First Minister Mark Drakeford said Sunday was an "opportunity to honour the selfless contribution made by all those who have lost their lives in conflicts past and present".

"We have members of the Jewish community and Muslim community here in Wales who have friends and family in the Middle East, for whom events there are absolutely real in their lives," he added.

"Today is a day that draws that to the surface and allows us all to reflect on how can we as an international community find a way to bring an end to that fighting."
