Cancer survivor says wigs changed her life during treatment
A cancer survivor has said wigs changed her life after she was diagnosed at the age of 17.
Aimee Bannister, from Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in 2008 and was declared cancer free later that year.
"I kind of felt like I was the only 17-year-old with cancer," she said.
She said she did not know anyone her age with the disease who she could talk about wigs with.
"I fell in love with them when my hair fell out and how they made me feel when I was bald," she added.
