Barry: Boy, 15, charged with murder bid after girl stabbed

Police inquiries into the incident are continuing into the stabbing at the railway station

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder after a girl was stabbed at a railway station.

British Transport Police said it happened at 18:20 GMT on Saturday at Cadoxton in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan.

She was taken to hospital with injuries which police said were not thought to be life changing or life threatening.

The teenager has also been charged with being in possession of a knife in a public place and perverting the course of justice.

He was due to appear at Newport Magistrates Court on Monday.

Inquiries are ongoing and officers asked anyone with any information to contact them.
