Multiple sclerosis: Woman 'shattered' by diagnosis finds pole dancing

"I just felt like my world had shattered and the carpet had been ripped from under my feet."

Shelly Sutton, 42, from Merthyr Tydfil said progressing symptoms after a multiple sclerosis (MS) diagnosis in 2021 left her unable to walk, talk or drive.

Then she tried pole dancing as a weekly activity which, combined with new medication, she said "changed her life".

The MS Society said although there had not been any research on pole dancing and its impact on people living with the condition, any form of exercise can help mood, mobility and muscle strength.
