A dance music festival in Swansea has been cancelled because of the cost of living crisis.

Escape, also known as Escape into the Park, has previously attracted crowds of 20,000 people.

But "increases in supplier and artists costs" have led to this year's event being cancelled.

Organisers Escape Music Events said it was not viable "due to the ongoing cost of living crisis".

"We would like to thank the south Wales dance community for their ongoing support since we returned after the pandemic but for now we say goodbye to Escape for this year," they said in a statement.
