A 36-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was found dead at a house.

North Wales Police said officers were called by the ambulance service to Wheat Close, in the Gwersyllt area of Wrexham at 05:37 BST on Sunday.

The 52-year-old man was pronounced dead at the property, and police said specialist officers were supporting his family.

The man remains in custody and there is no threat to the public, police said.

"We believe this to be an isolated incident," said Det Ch Insp Rebecca Hughes.

"However, our investigation is in its early stages and we remain open minded about the circumstances."

She asked anyone with information of video footage to come forward.
