A road has reopened after a large lorry earlier became stuck under a railway bridge in Powys forcing the cancellation of trains.

Traffic queues formed in the town after the incident at 06:30 BST on the A483, which was shut in both directions at Dolfor Road.

Buses replaced trains between Newtown and Machynlleth but services are running again.

Network Rail has assessed the bridge for damage.
