Prince Charles spoke to wellwishers in Brecon

Prince Charles has visited a chapel named after a pub on the final day of his summer tour of Wales.

The prince was in Brecon to look at restoration work inside the 17th Century Plough Chapel which stands where a pub once stood.

The week-long visit with the Duchess of Cornwall has included the couple laying a wreath at the Welsh National Mining Memorial in Senghenydd.

This year's tour is about "celebrating Wales, past, present and future".

As well as services, the chapel hosts community events and concerts at the Brecon jazz festival.

The current building is early Victorian and has been recently restored.

Derek Price, pastorate chairman, said much of the building has been refurbished and there have been some structural repairs, while the organ has also been refurbished.

The chapel is a member of the the United Reformed Church and the Union of Welsh Independents.
