Pest services scrapped to save Powys council cash

  • Published

Council-run pest control services in Powys have been scrapped as part of cost-cutting measures to save the local authority £20m.

Residents will no longer be able to request rat, mice or cockroach treatments.

Wasp removal services will come to an end on 26 September.

The move was agreed in March when the council said it must save nearly £20m this year and £40m by April 2017.
