A Powys tourist attraction and arts centre is to close on Christmas Eve after 30 years.

The Erwood Station Craft Centre, which houses a cafe and art gallery, opened in the former train station in Builth Wells in 1984.

It has been run for the past six years by Michael Cunningham, whose late father Alan founded the attraction.

Mr Cunningham, 29, is closing the business to further his career in the conservation and environment sectors.
