- Published
Hywel Dda University Health Board is trialling flexible visiting hours across four of its hospitals.
A one-month pilot is being rolled out on wards at Bronglais, Glangwili, Prince Philip and Withybush hospitals.
The health board hopes that opening wards for longer will provide "normality for patients and convenience for families".
It will also look into whether it will help with with parking congestion at the hospitals.
The pilot visiting hours are:
• Meurig Ward, Bronglais Hospital, Aberystwyth from 14:00 BST to 20:00.
• Gwenllian, Ceri and Derwen wards, Glangwili Hospital, Carmarthen from 10:00 to 20:00.
• Wards 1 and 9, Prince Philip Hospital, Llanelli from 14:00 to 20:00.
• Ward 3, Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest from 14:00 to 20:00.
The pilot will end on 9 July and will be followed by a review.
