Conwy and Denbighshire to work together to save money

Two north Wales councils, Denbighshire and Conwy, are looking at how to work more closely together to save money.
They already work together on some issues, but are planning on expanding the partnership.
It is expected to take the councils up to two years to develop a strategy for working together.
Services like building control, trading standards, animal welfare, health and safety and others will be included in the project.
Plans will be laid out for "collaborative working" between Conwy council's regulatory service and Denbighshire council's planning and public protection department.
Phil Rafferty, Conwy's head of regulatory services, said: "We need to identify efficiency savings, whilst maintaining a level and quality of service provision that our communities expect and deserve.
Graham Boase, Denbighshire's head of planning and public protection, said: "It will present a significant opportunity for both Conwy and Denbighshire to maintain and improve the way in we deliver our services, amidst the ever increasing pressure being placed on public sector finances."
