Council discusses Flintshire's leisure service changes

Flintshire council is meeting to discuss the latest options for the future of its leisure services.
The council started a two-month consultation in October, with service users, staff, sporting bodies and parents.
Its executive board will be presented with the findings of the consultation in a report, external to be discussed on Tuesday.
The report recommends continuing with plans to close a crèche at Flint, and reducing the number of duty managers.
It adds that consultations should continue with affected employees and their unions.
The report also recommends continuing to consult on proposed changes to the cafeteria at Flint.
Councillors are also being recommended to accept £10,000-a-year grants from Swim Wales and Swim Flintshire to support swimming development for the next four years, and possibly preserve the county's elite swimming scheme.
