Price comparison website moneysupermarket.com saw its revenues rise by 9% to nearly £149m in 2010, figures show.
Underlying profits rose 14% to £41m after an improved performance in the second half of the year.
The company, which employs some 600 in Ewloe, Flintshire, and whose adverts feature comedian Omid Djalili, increased its media spend by £3.3m.
The company said cash-strapped consumers were looking to make savings.
One of its television adverts features Djalili and former Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott, who is seen boxing training - a reference to when Mr Prescott punched an egg-thrower in Rhyl, Denbighshire, during the 2001 general election campaign.
It has increased its non-internet advertising media spend by 20% in 2011 and recently announced a new deal to sponsor ITV's Britain's Got Talent.
A new advert featuring Djalili and Starsky & Hutch actor David Soul will hit TV screens this week.
Moneysupermarket said 2011 has got off to a strong start as cash-strapped consumers looked for savings and its travel business returned to growth.
The company said its money, insurance and home services arms saw sales rise by 20% in 2011, while travelsupermarket, which has been in full-year sales decline since 2008, saw sales growth after the site was relaunched.
