Denbighshire council rejects 60-bed care home in Rhyl

A proposal for a 60-bed care home in Rhyl has been refused by Denbighshire councillors.
The home, which developers wanted to build near the St David's Residential Home on East Parade, would also have included a new car park, and had been recommended for approval.
However, councillors rejected the application because of concerns of "over-intensification" of the site.
Loss of amenity space and parking issues were also among the reasons.
