Cambrian Vaults' licence revoked after Wrexham murder

The pub was closed after the incident at the request police and now its licence has been revoked
A Wrexham town centre pub at the centre of a murder inquiry has had its licence revoked.
Craig Maddocks, 34, from Llay, died last month following an incident at the Cambrian Vaults on Town Hill. A 45-year-old man faces a murder charge.
The pub was closed when its licence was suspended at the request of North Wales Police after the incident.
The owners say they are reviewing their options following the decision by Wrexham's licensing committee.
The committee meeting was told the pub had a history of disorder, including incidents inside and outside the premises.
The pub's licence will remain suspended for 21 days to allow for any appeal by the owners, the Marston's brewery group.
A barrister representing the company at the licensing hearing challenged the police request and described it as "draconian".
Earlier this month staff at the pub launched an online petition to try to save it from closure.
A Marston's spokesperson said: "We acknowledge the decision of the committee and will review our options for the Cambrian Vaults over the coming weeks."
