The future of a 16-bed night shelter service for homeless people in Wrexham has been secured with a new funding agreement.
The Ty Nos Night Shelter, run by Clwyd Alyn Housing Association, in Holt Road, opened in December 2008 but its future was in jeopardy after a funding shortfall.
Wrexham council and Clwyd Alyn Housing Association agreed a three-year deal.
The shelter opened in 2008 after years of campaigning and fundraising.
Occupying the former Maesydre Community Centre, it provides accommodation as well as eating, washing and laundry facilities for up to 12 single homeless men and four women.
