Two level crossings to temporarily close for improvements

Two level crossings between Wrexham and Chester are to temporarily close for safety improvements.

Balderton level crossing will be closed for two weeks from Saturday and Broad Oak, near Rossett, from Saturday until 5 September.

Network Rail said the crossings will be upgraded from half to full barriers to improve safety.

The roads on which the level crossings are located will also be closed and diversions will be in place.
