An investigation has been launched after a man's body was found in a Denbighshire seafront flat.
North Wales Police said officers attended the home in West Parade, Rhyl, at 14:00 GMT on Friday after 44-year-old Liam James Hill was found dead.
A post-mortem examination indicated his death "may have been caused by a criminal act", the force said.
It is being treated as "suspicious" and anyone with information is asked to get in contact.
Det Ch Insp Andrew Williams said: "We have significant concerns about the injuries found by the pathologist and we have therefore launched an investigation."
He said detectives were piecing together Mr Hill's last-known movements.
