A 27-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of former restaurateur at his home in Wrexham.

Nicholas Churton, 67, former owner of Churtons wine bar in Rossett, was found dead on Monday, 27 March.

Jordan Davidson has also been charged with three counts of robbery, two burglary offences, assaulting a police officer and attempting to inflict grievous bodily harm on an officer.

Mr Davidson from Wrexham was remanded in custody until a hearing in June.

A provisional trial date has been set for 18 September.
