Man arrested over woman's 'murder' in Flint released

A 50-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder after the death of a woman in Flintshire has been released pending further inquiries, police have said.

The woman, aged in her 40s, was found at a home on Windsor Drive, Flint, with serious injuries at about 02:50 BST on Saturday.

North Wales Police said a post-mortem examination had now taken place and her family has been informed.

Inquiries continue to establish the circumstances surrounding her death.

Det Insp Tim Evans called it "a tragic incident" and said specialist officers were supporting the woman's family during the investigation.
