Calls have been made for safety improvements on a Gwynedd road after a 61-year-old man was seriously injured in a collision with a car.
Local man Robert Jones, 61, remains in hospital after the incident at Boduan near Pwllheli in Gwynedd on Friday.
One resident said only a speed camera would make a difference on the stretch of the A497 road.
Gwynedd council said it would not comment until it had received a report from police about the collision.
"This is a very, very dangerous bit of road," said Roger Pollard, who lives near the site.
"Although I don't usually agree with them, I feel here a speed camera would help."
He said it was not a busy road outside of the holiday season but it only took one incident for someone to be badly hurt.
A spokesperson for Gwynedd council said: "The council's transport and streetcare service are aware of the accident which occurred near Boduan on Friday evening.
"We are currently awaiting further information from North Wales Police about the circumstances of the accident - it would not be appropriate for us to comment further until we receive this report."
Police said the injured man had just got off a bus when the collision took place.
He is being treated at the Walton Centre in Liverpool.
