Missing man named after body found at Llandudno cliffs

North Wales Police have named a 47-year-old man whose body was found at the Great Orme headland at Llandudno.

Andrew Parvin, of Deganwy, Conwy county, was reported missing on Monday, and his body was discovered at the cliffs on Wednesday morning.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen Mr Parvin to get in touch.

He was of slim build with dark hair and wearing a dark puffa-type walking jacket, khaki trousers and grey boots.

An inquest is due to open later.

In a separate incident, an inquest has been opened into the death of a 35-year-old trawlerman whose body was found in Pwllheli marina on Wednesday.

It is believed David McMurdo had last been seen walking back to a trawler, the Kasey Marie, after visiting a pub.

Mr McMurdo was a Scot living in Plymouth and had been based at Pwllheli for several months, fishing for scallops in Cardigan Bay.

The inquest at Caernarfon was adjourned.
