Prince William and Catherine Middleton's local library is celebrating Anglesey's royal link by putting on a royal wedding exhibition.

Villagers at Rhosneigr are used to seeing Prince William and his wife-to-be as they live in the area.

The exhibition includes royal wedding memorabilia from down the generations.

The event was officially opened by the Bishop of Bangor, the Right Reverend Andrew John.

Mandi Abrahams, the chair of the Friends of Rhosneigr Library, said the exhibition was just one event planned to mark the royal wedding.

"People around here are fond of William and Kate, even though they do not know them personally.

"We see them around, and they are left in peace here."

Ms Abrahams said the exhibition covered a cross-section of royal weddings.

This included old photographs, tea cosies and memorabilia, cakes and even a "William and Kate dress up book".

The village is also planning other events to mark the big day.

On the wedding day on 29 April Rhosneigr will have a parade of "princes and princesses" through the town, music on the beach and in the village hall, bunting created by the WI and a special cake.
