Cyclists rescued on Anglesey breakwater in bad weather

Two cyclists have been rescued after pedalling out on to an Anglesey breakwater in "atrocious" weather.

Holyhead inshore lifeboat was launched on Monday evening after the men, aged in their early 20s, were spotted a mile-and-a-half out to sea with waves crashing over them.

It was feared they could be swept or blown into the water.

Coastguards escorted the cold pair to safety and they were checked by an ambulance crew and given safety advice.
