RAF jet ends up in safety net at Mona airfield after 'goose strike'

A RAF Hawk jet practising a forced landing ended up in a real emergency after reportedly hitting a goose.
It overshot a runway at Mona airfield on Anglesey at 10:50 BST on Friday and ended up in a safety net.
Both instructor and pupil were unhurt in the incident.
A Ministry of Defence spokesman said the aircraft hit the bird while on the runway during practice touchdowns and takeoffs.
The jet remains at the airfield, which is seven miles (11km) from the RAF base at Valley.
