A Conwy county care home is closing with 31 job losses, meaning 20 residents will need to be rehoused.

Staff and families of residents were told Highcroft Nursing Home in Rhos-on-Sea is no longer financially viable and will shut at the end of the month.

Conwy council said it was working with staff and the health board to find alternative services for residents as a "matter of urgency".

Local AM Darren Millar said the news was also a "blow to hardworking staff".
