Snowdon rescue for man in plimsolls, jacket and jeans

The man became trapped while descending Mount Snowdon

A 19-year-old man wearing plimsolls, jeans and a leather jacket and suffering from hypothermia has been rescued from Snowdon.

Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team came to the man's aid after he became lost on Crib y Ddysgyl on Wednesday.

He called for help after becoming trapped on a steep crag while winds reached speeds of up to 83mph.

After being pulled to safety, he was helped down the mountain and taken to the rescue team's base in Nant Peris.
