Funeral plea for veteran Keith Ingham Nutbrown attracts crowd

Hundreds of people have attended the funeral of a Royal Air Force veteran who died without any family.

Keith Ingham Nutbrown, 83, of Deeside, Flintshire, died at Treflys Care Home in Llandudno, leaving all his possessions in a shoebox.

The RAF Association appealed for people to attend a service in his memory at Chester Crematorium on Tuesday.

The Reverend Ray Billingsley, who led the funeral, said it was "heart-warming" to see so many people turn up.

Members of RAF Valley on Anglesey were among those who attended the service, which opened with the playing of the theme tune to the film The Dam Busters.

Before the service began there was a fly-past by members of the RAF.

Little is known about Mr Ingham Nutbrown's life, other than that he served his national service with the RAF in Ceylon, now Sri Lanka.
