Plans for a science park on Anglesey, which could create 700 jobs, have been given the go-ahead by the council's planning committee.
Menai Science Park Ltd described receiving the outline planning approval as "a major step forward" for the site near Gaerwen.
The park hopes to attract new hi-tech environmental and life science firms and graduates from Bangor University.
Developers said the park could be up and running by 2017.
A planning report said the site would help "develop the economy without causing harm to the environment or the local community".
Menai Science Park director Ieuan Wyn Jones said: "The outline planning permission is a major step forward for M-SParc and marks the start of an exciting new chapter in the economic regeneration of Anglesey and north west Wales."
