Slate community from 1960s in Aberllefenni up for sale

A slate community in a rural part of Gwynedd has gone up for sale.
The 16 houses in Aberllefenni, near Machynlleth in Powys, are on the market for £1.5m.
They were built around the local mine, which dates back to the 1960s, and are owned by the family of John Lloyd, of Inigo Jones Slate Works.
The properties are on the market with Dafydd Hardy estate agents, which said a collection of houses from that period on sale all together was "rare".
Mr Hardy said just three properties in Aberllefenni were not owned by the Lloyd family.
The houses are surrounded by countryside at the foot of the Dyfi forest and could offer an opportunity to develop the site for tourism, he added.
