Llanberis Siemens operation to shed 32 laboratory jobs

Up to 32 jobs will be lost at the Gwynedd laboratory of a manufacturing firm.

Siemens Laboratory Diagnostics said it is to cut the workforce at its Llanberis site because of a fall in demand for its Immulite technology.

The division employs 415 people, with the Immulite equipment used on blood analysers in hospitals and clinics.

Siemens said it will attempt to make redundancies voluntary and find new roles for those affected.
