A former chef has admitted causing unnecessary suffering to a feral cat which died in the kitchen of the Snowdonia hotel.
Dylan Marcus Edwards, 50, of Llanrwst, Conwy county, pleaded guilty to the charge relating to an incident at Royal Oak Hotel, Betws y Coed.
Llandudno Magistrates' Court heard the cat was allegedly put in a bag and hit with a piece of wood.
A second man has denied the same charge.
The case was adjourned until 31 May for a probation service report and for the RSPCA to decide if it will pursue a case against the second man.
