Trespass of Kinder Scout 80 years ago remembered

It is the 80th Anniversary of the mass trespass of Kinder Scout by ramblers.

Those who took part in the mass trespass of the English Peak District 80 years ago paid a heavy price for it.

Five of the hundreds who walked on to Kinder Scout were jailed even though trespass was not and still is not not a criminal offence.

Harry Rothman, who now lives in Powys, grew up with the story of this walk.

His father Benny was one of its leaders and Roly Smith is the chairman of the Kinder 80 Committee.
