Council reform: Term limits 'bordering on ageism'

Plans to limit councillors to 25 years' service are "bordering on ageism", a union official has told the Welsh Labour conference in Swansea.
Former Flintshire councillor Terry Renshaw from the builders' union UCATT, said the Welsh government proposal was "an affront" to councillors.
He accused Public Services Minister Leighton Andrews of failing to involve party members in drawing up the policy.
Mr Renshaw said local parties should choose candidates regardless of age.
