A 50-year-old man has been taken to hospital after his car crashed and ended up in a garden.
The A4042 between Abergavenny and Pontypool was shut for seven hours near Llanover, Monmouthshire, from about 05:00 GMT on Monday.
The crash between Oak Lane and Saron Road meant drivers had to take a 20-mile (32km) diversion on the A40 and A449 roads around Raglan and Usk.
The man's injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.
Gwent Police is investigating the cause of the crash.
