Brexit: 'Grubby excuse to deny Welsh democratic rights'

Plaid Cymru MP Liz Saville Roberts has made fresh accusations that the prime minister is using Brexit to mount a "power grab" to undermine devolution.

Welsh and Scottish politicians have claimed the EU (Withdrawal) Bill would transfer EU responsibilities for devolved matters such as farming to Westminster rather than the individual UK nations.

Ms Saville Roberts urged Theresa May to "admit that the scrabble to repatriate powers from Brussels provides a grubby excuse to deny our democratic rights in Wales".

In reply, the prime minister said the UK's "power grab" in leaving the EU would result in more power for devolved governments.
