Alun Cairns 'disappointed and surprised' by Virgin job cuts
The Welsh Secretary Alun Cairns has said he is very disappointed by Virgin Media's plans to close its Swansea call centre with the loss of 800 jobs.
The telecommunications firm is set to cut its number of UK customer service bases from eight to four, centralising operations in Manchester.
Mr Cairns told BBC Wales he would meet the company's chief executive and try to overcome the issues behind the decision.
