Neath MP Christina Rees readmitted to Labour after suspension

A Welsh MP suspended from Labour over allegations of bullying staff has been readmitted to the party after apologising for her behaviour.
Neath MP and ex-shadow Welsh secretary Christina Rees also confirmed she will not stand at the next general election.
She was prevented from seeking selection to be Labour's candidate for the new constituency of Neath and Swansea East last summer.
The current MP for Swansea East, Carolyn Harris, was selected unopposed.
Ms Rees has had the party whip restored, meaning she can sit as a Labour MP, and her party membership reactivated.
She has represented the Neath constituency since 2015 and has been an independent member of the House of Commons since she was suspended in October 2022.
She sat on the Labour front bench under Jeremy Corbyn's leadership, serving as shadow secretary of state for Wales between 2017 and 2020.
Ms Rees previously said she was "cooperating" with the investigation into the allegations made against her.
The news that she has been readmitted to the Labour Party was first reported in The Guardian, external.
