A new Welsh language primary school has opened in the Caerau area of Cardiff, with places for up to 210 children.
Ysgol Nant Caerau has opened in the school building previously occupied by Caerau Infant Schol.
That school, along with Caerau Nursery School and Cwrt yr Ala Junior have merged to form the English-language Pencaerau Primary in a new building.
However, three classes from Caerau Infant school still use their old premises.
Those classes will be reduced at a rate of one a year until December 2012 when they will all be transferred to the new building, which is on the site of the former Cwrt yr Ala school.
