Blaenavon Heritage VC Primary School official opening

A new £13m super-school has been officially opened by the Welsh education minister.
The 450-place Blaenavon Heritage VC Primary School, Torfaen, replaces two primary schools and a nursery.
The new school has a nursery and is linked to a sports hall, dance studio, fitness suite and outside games area.
Leighton Andrews officially opened the school and said the Welsh government was committed to providing the best education.
"The new campus is an exemplary project," he said.
It demonstrates the effectiveness of working collaboratively to develop a range of effective, modern services for the community."
The school's name was was chosen following a competition for pupils.
Leader of Torfaen council Bob Wellington said: "We have built a school which is the envy of every head teacher, governor, teacher and pupil in the borough and would rank among the very best schools in the United Kingdom."
He said it provided a "vibrant, welcoming environment".
