Sixty new jobs are being created at a firm producing hip and knee replacement products which is expanding over the next two years.

Biomet UK's facility in Bridgend is being boosted by a £2.7m investment for new machinery which will allow the firm to offer a wider range of products.

The plant on Waterton Industrial Estate was named as Biomet's worldwide centre of excellence for manufacturing hip joint implants in 2009.

Products are exported globally.

The investment has been supported by the Welsh government.
