Rugby fans going to watch Wales in the last game of the Six Nations are being urged to organise their travel well.

A crowd of 74,000 is expected at the Millennium Stadium for the Scotland game which kicks off at 14:45 GMT.

Cardiff council said people should allow plenty of time to get there and public transport and coaches would be the best way of getting to the game.

Arriva Trains Wales is providing services but warned trains will be extremely busy.

A spokesperson for Arriva Trains Wales said: "It is an exciting day for rugby tournament with three matches in a row and many fans will be tempted to head to the bars after the match to watch France vs Ireland which kicks off at 17:00.

"Customers are advised to ensure they make their way to Cardiff Central Station with plenty of time to catch services advertised in the normal timetable as only a limited number of additional services will be provided beyond 19:00."

Cardiff Queen Street station will be closed after 16:15 GMT

Fans driving to the game are being advised to use the council park and ride service, based at Cardiff City Football Club in the Leckwith area of the city.

There will be a number of road closures, as normal, in the city centre area close to the Millennium Stadium for much of Saturday.
