Caerphilly council elects Keith Reynolds as new leader

  • Published

A new leader of Caerphilly council has been elected following the resignation of Harry Andrews.

The Labour leader stood down last month to spend more time with his family, but remains the ward member for Gilfach.

On Thursday, Keith Reynolds was elected at the authority's annual general meeting.

He said Mr Andrews would be a "hard act to follow" but the role was an honour which he would pursue with "determination and vigour".
