Play area for £6.3m revamped Pontypridd lido approved

A new outdoor play area will form part of work to revamp the lido in Pontypridd's Ynysangharad Park.

Councillors in Rhondda Cynon Taf approved plans for the state-of-the-art play area which will sit alongside the three-pool complex as part of a £6.3m restoration programme.

Building work on the park is planned to start later this year.

An existing play area will also be upgraded. Work on the lido is due to completed by summer 2015.
