A man has pleaded not guilty to murdering a 78-year-old poet in Monmouthshire last year.

Anne Jackson's body was found at her home near Usk on 1 November. The Belgian-born poet wrote under the name Anne Cluysenaar and had also lectured at universities across the country.

Timothy Jackson, 48, from Sheffield, appeared via video link at Cardiff Crown Court.

The hearing was adjourned until 24 February.
