Woman 'seriously injured' after impaling arm on spike

A woman has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after impaling her arm on a spike in Bridgend county.
The Welsh Ambulance Service said the woman was taken to Morriston hospital in Swansea for treatment for her injuries.
South Wales Fire and Rescue Service arrived at Oxford Street in Pontycymer at about 12:40 BST on Friday.
A hazardous area rescue team treated the woman and an air ambulance was also called to the scene.
