Work totalling £85,000 is begining on a road flood defence in Rhondda Cynon Taff.
Improvements will be carried out along "Letty Turner's bends" on the A4059, which the council said has been prone to surface water flooding "for many years".
Work will start on Monday and is expected to last six weeks.
It is part of the council's wider £23m road investment scheme.
During the work, temporary traffic lights will be in place between 09:30 and 16:00 BST from Monday to Friday.
